Hi all!
As you may know, MS took away some options in the Anniversary update of Windows 10 Pro in
regard to policy settings.

Users can no longer Turn off "Microsoft consumer experiences", among other things.
So we are now to be happily force fed with third party apps thanks to MS anal retention.
Well, there's a way to use their own tools against them, and it's called Applocker.
With this you can effectively do the same thing as the removed policy did before.
The engine that delivers this junk is called "Windows Spotlight", and the responsible package,
"ContentDeliveryManager".
Here's how to stop it:
1.Type
secpol.msc in search, Open as admin.
2. Click Application Control Policies, then click Applocker.
3. Rightclick Packaged app Rules,Create new rule, deny everyone.
4. Click next, Use an installed packaged app as a reference.
5. Select Windows Spotlight(Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager) and click ok.
6. Pull blue slider up to Package name, create rule.
(Pulling up the slider one notch ,means that even if MS updates the component to a newer
version number, the rule stays intact)
Done!
To put another nail in it's coffin, use the same trick with the firewall as explained here by dmex:
"ContentDeliveryManager" Firewall Rule
Please observe, the already downloaded content in the tiles wont go away after the Applocker block, however,
there will not be any new content after this.
Proof of this is in the picture at the bottom, where you see the empty placeholders in a newly created
user account after the rule has been applied.Just right click the tiles and remove them, they ain't coming back! :thumbsup:
